I am absolutely loving the white gown trend that was splashed through the Spring/Summer 2010 Runways.  Here are a few of my “almost bridal” favorites…

Azzaro – I love the textural detailing around the neckline of this dress.

Azzaro (again) – very Grecian inspired design and a pairing with gold offers a dream colour pallete.

Badgley Mischka – The detailing on the neckline of this dress is beautiful.  I also love the classic silhouette.

Collette Dinnigan – This is a great version of “not quite white”.  Collette Dinnigan overlays a darker fabric with a sheer white which gives it a completely different personality.

Douglas Hannant – this is another way to add a different personality to a classic white gown.  Overlayed with lace and a unique twist to the design of the top.

Halston – This one shoulder garment almost resembles a cape, without being overly ostentacious.

J. Mendel – This has got to be my absolute favorite garment from this trend in 2010, if not from all of the collections.  It is very dreamlike and flattering.  It is definitely on my wish list!

Marchesa – This is another of my favorites.  As you can also see from my “Baby’s Got the Blue’s” post, Marchesa has been catching my attention all season.  The great thing is, I would have never really gotten to know this line if it wasn’t for this blog and my dedication to discovering as many designers as I can handle.  And trust me, there is a lot to handle.  If I haven’t mentioned it before, I have been compiling a list of designers and retailers to keep track off, by signing up for their newsletters and scouring through the runway photographs on  I think I am well over 1,000 different designers and brand names.

BCBG Max Azria – although not one of my favorite pieces, I decided to included it because I find that the wide belt waistline adds a flattering and beautiful way of wrapping up this piece.

Yigal Azrouel – this is a dress that you could never be uncomfortable in.  I want!

And to add some accessories into the mix…

Jimmy Choo – Glass slippers don’t make sense for us “Cinderella’s” anymore.  Instead, try this Jimmy Choo metalic, sling back.

Judith Leiber – Streamline

And of course, you will need something to keep all of your things with you when you plan on wearing any of these gowns.

So now all I need is a great party to wear a gown like this too.  Unfortunately the only black tie event that I have coming up is a wedding, and I don’t think it would be very nice of me to show up wearing white.
